Thank you to all those who have purchased the 2024 Duck Stamp and made donations to Wetland Environmental Taskforce (WET).

We have had an outstanding response to this since we announced this initiative in early June.

Donations generated from the Duck Stamps as well as other donations made directly to the WET have enabled us to progress water management projects such as the Connewarre Wetland System.

The addition of a 300mm Gate valve to the inlet/outlet of Connewarre Wetland Centre outer levy bank will allow better control of water levels in our Connewarre Wetlands. Water is currently flowing in nicely and inundating our wetland, and when the neighbouring wetland peaks, we can now shut off the valve and keep our wetland fuller, longer. It will also allow exact level changes as required. Small steps, but a big benefit to our environmental management.
